The Oklahoma City Thunder

The Seattle Supersonics started playing in the NBA in 1967 and they just had their final season this 2007-2008. For the upcoming season, their team will be moved as an NBA franchise in Oklahoma City and will be playing under a different team. The relocation of the team to Oklahoma was made possible after the Supersonics were sold to an investment group being led by Clayton Bennett.

Seattle Supersonics won the NBA Championship back in 1979. Their victory brought much pride in Seattle for they are the only men's professional sports team in Seattle to have won a championship.

Included in their Hall of Famers is Lenny Wilkens who also acted as their head coach at their victory in the 1979 Championship. So far, Seattle Supersonics has gained three conference titles which they earned during the playoffs in 1978, 1979 and 1996.

The team's colors are green, gold and white. For their home uniforms, the Supersonics wore white jerseys with green and gold trim. During road games, they wore dark green jerseys with white and gold accents. Their latest uniform was a gold jersey with green and white trim.
